This female Bobcat first appeared in the garden about a year ago, joining our collard male that has now been around for over three years. She likes to use this trail to exit the garden; I haven’t been able to pin down where she enters from.
Midway through the video clip below, she stops on the trail to spray an old root ball. With breeding season close at hand (November-December in SoCal), this cat is certainly advertising with scent that not only is this her territory, but that she is also ready to breed. I have a feeling that we’ll be seeing Hank on camera very soon!
